Sovereign Estate is a family-owned, Minnesota Alumni winery located on the north shore of Lake Waconia. The Vineyard is planted on a south-facing slope offering the grapes maximum exposure to the sun. This results in lower acidity and an incredible expression of fruit in the grapes, allowing for the highest quality of wines to be produced.

Minnesota Grapes

Sovereign Estate features Marquette Grapes. These grapes were developed by the University of Minnesota in 2006. It has become one of the most popular cold-climate grapes as they produce fantastic medium-bodied, dry, red wine. The wine produced by Marquette has complex notes of cherry, black pepper, berry, and spices.
 
In addition to Marquette, Sovereign Estate offers many outstanding red and white varietals sure to please any palette.
